  • Continuing: The Corning Patriots
    The Corning Patriots are scheduled to meet at 6 PM Thursday at the Corning Senior Center, South and Fourth streets. The group promotes fiscal responsibility in government, holding elected officials accountable and ensuring constitutional rights. There is no charge and all are welcome.

    Continuing: Farmer’s Market
    The Corning First Fruits Farmers’ Market is up and running every Friday evening at 5 PM at New Life Assembly parking lot, 660 Solano Street. If you would like to have a booth to sell your produce or other items call Sonja Akers at 736-1702. There is no charge for the booth space.

  • 26th - Thursday - Olive Festival Mixer
    Bell-Carter Olive Company is hosting the annual Olive Festival Mixer in their break room at 6 PM. Please come and enjoy wonderful food prepared by Linda Daniels-Lima and her staff. There will be an opportunity to participate in a raffle for a variety of prizes.

  • 28th - Saturday - Corning Rotary Olive Drop Fundraiser
    Woodson Park - 3 PM. Raffle tickets may be obtained from Corning Rotarians and their businesses, including the Bank of America, PremierWest Bank, and US Bank. Tickets will be available at the Corning Chamber of Commerce. Ticket prices are: One ticket for $2.00 or three tickets for $5.00. The fundraiser helps support the Corning Rotary Club's High School Scholarship Program and other Rotary community projects and programs. Raffle Prizes: 1. Nintendo Wii Game System (donated by Double M Video); 2. One Night Stay at the Lodge with Tickets for Two to the Wine Food and Art Festival (donated by Corning Rotary Club); 3. One Round of Golf for Two (donated by Sevillano Links); 4. One Round of Golf for Two (donated by Sevillano Links); 5. Two Tickets to a 49er's Game Including one Parking Pass (donated by Phil's Automotive); 6. $100 Gift Certificate (donated by Edward Jones Investments); 7. $75 Gift Certificate to Timber's Steak House (donated by Corning Rotary Club).

  • 28th - Saturday - Debadoo & Company Fundraiser
    There will be a Tri-Tip Dinner Fundraiser from 4:30 to 8:30 pm at the Veterans Memorial Hall. Enjoy live music and special guest stars. The cost is $10.00 per plate. Dinner includes Tri-Tip, beans, salad, French bread, drink and dessert. Debadoo & Company singing and dance students are raising money for their trip to the “2011 BRAVO National Dance & Talent Competition” in San Diego.   • 9th - Thursday - Corning in the Evening
    Hosted by Trinity Healthcare Associates 5:30 PM. They are located at 145 Solano Street.

  • 11th - Saturday - Cottonwood Car Show
    The Cottonwood Hot Rods and Hogs Car show is scheduled for 9 AM. to 3 PM in downtown Cottonwood. There will be a walking poker run, tri-tip barbecue and beer garden, live music, vendors, raffle prizes and the NAPA Spark Plug Challenge. Proceeds benefit Cottonwood Community Library, Fire Department and Chamber of Commerce. The Fire Department will hold a pancake breakfast 7-10 AM. Registration for the car show will be 7-9 AM.   • 11th - Saturday - Craft Fair
    Artists and crafters are reserving space for the fall craft fair at the Red Bluff Community and Senior Center. The air-conditioned auditorium will be divided into 10 x 10 display booths for exhibits.of original fine art and crafts. Admission is free to the public, beginning at 10 AM, and food will be available. Fee for exhibitors is $35, payable to the Red Bluff Community Center Auxiliary. Unless they have a Red Bluff business license, they will need a one-day permit for an additional $2, by check or money order payable to the city of Red Bluff. Exhibitors will be asked to donate one of their items to be displayed near the entrance so that the public will have a sample of their goods. These will be awarded in a drawing during the afternoon. Winners need not be present. The annual event is co-sponsored by the Red Bluff Community Center Auxiliary and The Blues for the Pool Committee.   • 11th - Saturday - Tehama County Museum Jubilee
    The Tehama County Museum will be holding its 29th Annual Jubilee from 8 AM to 6 OM at the museum grounds, 275 “C” Street in Tehama. There will be live music, great food, crafts, a new museum exhibit, antique appraisals and a variety of activities.   • 23rd through 26th - Thursday through Sunday - Tehama District Fair
    The Corning Chamber has the Exhibitor Handbook and entry forms at the office, 1110 Solano Street, and you may pick them up Monday through Friday 9 AM to 5 PM but closed for lunch. This is the 90th year for the fair, and this year’s theme is Big Cheers for 90 Years! The entry form deadline is August 31st.
